The Iron & Rose Renovation Project

The Iron & Rose renovation is a masterclass in "Industrial Romance"—a design dichotomy that balances the raw, unrefined bones of an urban space with the soft, ethereal details of a classic French patisserie. Our team was commissioned to strip back a heritage storefront to its structural essence and re-layer it with warmth, light, and vintage charm.

The result is a high-traffic bakery and cafe that feels both grounded in history and light as air, providing a sensory experience that begins the moment a customer sees the facade.

Design & Construction Highlights

Raw Structural Exposure: We reclaimed the building’s original red brickwork and exposed the overhead steel HVAC ducts, coating them in a matte charcoal finish to provide a rugged, industrial backdrop.

The "Soft" Contrast: To soften the hard edges, we installed custom floor-to-ceiling sheer linen drapery and over-sized arched mirrors that reflect the glow of warm Edison-bulb chandeliers.

Bespoke Countertop Craftsmanship: The centerpiece is a 12-foot service counter featuring a heavy poured-concrete base topped with delicate, white Carrara marble—merging industrial weight with romantic luxury.

Botanical Integration: We engineered a custom internal trellis system to support climbing indoor ivy, creating a "secret garden" atmosphere amidst the metal and stone.
