The Yue Lai Xiang Renovation Project

The Yue Lai Xiang renovation project represents a sophisticated intersection of traditional Cantonese heritage and avant-garde modernism. Tasked with revitalizing a classic brand, our team executed a complete structural and aesthetic overhaul to transform the space into a premier destination for "Fusion Cantonese" cuisine.

The design philosophy centered on balance: honoring the rich textures of Southern Chinese culture while implementing a sleek, minimalist framework that appeals to the contemporary diner.

Design & Construction Highlights

Architectural Fusion: We integrated traditional elements—such as custom-fabricated wood screening and brass accents—with modern industrial finishes like polished micro-cement and matte black steel.

Ambient Lighting Concept: The lighting scheme was engineered to transition seamlessly from a bright, high-energy lunch environment to an intimate, atmospheric evening lounge. We installed recessed LED architectural lighting complemented by bespoke statement pendants inspired by traditional Chinese lanterns.

Spatial Reconfiguration: The floor plan was optimized to improve operational flow. We introduced a "theatrical" open-view dim sum station and private VIP suites that feature sound-dampening acoustic panels integrated into decorative wall art.

Premium Material Palette: A curated selection of Italian marble countertops, velvet upholstery in "Imperial Teal," and reclaimed dark oak flooring provides a tactile experience that reinforces the restaurant’s high-end positioning.
