Scope Overview

Converting a standard commercial unit into a food-service ready space that meets Ontario health, fire, and building code requirements for restaurant or café operations. This includes commercial kitchen infrastructure, grease trap installation, ventilation systems, and health department compliance.

Typical Scope of Work

Commercial kitchen layout planning, Type 1 and Type 2 hood and exhaust system installation, make-up air unit coordination, grease trap and plumbing infrastructure, fire suppression system installation, gas line rough-ins for commercial cooking equipment, walk-in cooler and freezer framing, food-safe wall and floor finishes, and Toronto Public Health pre-inspection coordination.

Buildup Contracting's Role

Full project management from initial feasibility assessment through health department sign-off, including mechanical engineering coordination and equipment procurement support.
